Jennifer Metcalfe has found her Mane Match ahead of this Saturday's Randox Health Grand National in the shape of Shantou Flyer. Narrowing down the 40-runner field for this year's big race using Great British Racing's matchmaking app, Hollyoaks star Metcalfe admitted she's "a big fan of flying off to see exciting new places in the world," and Shantou Flyer fits the bill perfectly.

Metcalfe's Mane Match, Shantou Flyer, will wear beige silks with grey epaulettes and a beige cap, has finished second in his last four races and is a bit of a dark horse with the bookmakers at around 40/1. Childrens List, wearing pink silks with green spots, also jumped out at Hollyoaks star Jennifer, after giving birth to her first child last year. Trained by Willie Mullins and owned by the Ricci's, Childrens List is 80/1, and Jennifer admits she is hoping to land a winner this week.

Great British Racing's Mane Match ambassador, Jennifer Metcalfe, said: "The Randox Health Grand National is one of my favourite days of the year and it's made even better if you can pick the winner! "With 40 runners it's hard to make your mind up on just one but after a few swipes on the Mane Match app I was pleased to be paired with Shantou Flyer. Childrens List is a nice back up to have too.

Metcalfe, added: "Loads of people pick their National horse based on the name and colour I'm not too different. The app lets you narrow down the runners based on the name and colour and, given I'm a big fan of flying off to see exciting new places in the world, Shantou Flyer is definitely my type. I was drawn to the neutral colours too, they look nice and classy."

After hitting it off in 2017 with 500,000 swipes, the dating-style app will be back to help racegoers whittle down the Randox Health Grand National's 40 runners and find the horse of their dreams ahead of the race's off time at 5.15pm on ITV, Saturday 14th April.

The exciting app gives punters a helping hand in picking their horse for the world's most famous race. It includes all 40 horses taking part, with users being able to narrow down the search for their perfect horse using filters based on name, age, silks colour and odds and then swiping left or right, or in equine terms 'yay' or 'neigh', through the profiles.

Each horse also has a bio describing itself and giving a clue to its chances, with users being able to swipe left and right through all of the profiles to find their ultimate match. The app will be live for racegoers to use from Tuesday 10th April at www.manematch.co.uk. Rod Street, Chief Executive of Great British Racing, said: "The Randox Health Grand National is the most famous horserace in the world and one of the few events that stops the nation. Part of the excitement is choosing your fancy from the 40 runners and with Mane Match back for its second year running, it's a fun and easy way of narrowing down the search for your perfect horse. Good luck!"
