An emphatic second half performance from France has just seen them beat the Republic of Ireland 2-1. A brace from Antoine Griezmann cancelled out Robbie Brady's very early penalty and Germany will be hoping their game against Slovakia is much more straight forward.

Whilst being wasteful in front of goal, Germany were very good in the group stages. They are the only side not to have conceded a goal so far and if star men like Thomas Muller and Mario Gomez can find their shooting boots they're a very real threat to tournament favourites France.

Slovakia, on the other hand, went from a poor display against Wales to an exciting victory over Russia and then on to a hard fought draw with England. With Vlad Weiss and Marek Hamsik they look good going forward and were solid at the back against the English.

Unfortunately for them, I fancy Germany to be just too strong for them and I'm backing Germany win to nil at 21/20.

I'm also taking Mario Gomez to score first at 5/1 and Toni Kroos Man of the Match at 5/1.
