Fantasy Football Preview: Gameweek 25

Big J is the man this week.

Looking ahead to Fantasy Football Gameweek 25, we've frisked the fixtures to try and make sense of where the points are going to come from in this week's games.

Gabriel Fernando de Jesus, plain old Jesus or "Big J" (as no one calls him at all) has hit the ground running since signing for Man City in the January Transfer Window.

Pep seems intent on stamping his mark on this City side and in Pep world that has meant dropping the once untouchable Sergio Aguero. It's actually hard to perceive a scenario where Aguero can be left sitting on his backside watching the game pass by but the reality is that's what's happening at the minute.

City play Bournemouth on Monday night, with Big J (as I now refer to him), Sane and Sterling putting forward a decent argument to continue up front. The trio have looked genuinely sharp since introduced by Pep in the recent matches and its somewhat hard to argue with "Big J" (Is it catching on yet?) popping up with three goals in his first two starts to make the Premier League seem like a piece of piss for him.

ALTHOUGH... all of this comes with a BIG caveat - whilst Big J (I'm not dropping this) does indeed be putting a case forward as the Second Coming please BEWARE... as we enter the part of the season where fixtures are massively affected by Cup games.

Due to this... Manchester City have no game in GW26. Keep this in mind for whilst everyone is clambering to bring him (more than 160,000 have bought him this week) in he'll be facing a blank next Gameweek.

Divine Intervention or not - after he inevitably scores again against Bournemouth he won't play in Gameweek 26. You've been warned.

It would also please me to watch Aguero owners going nuts on twitter if he's dropped again.. so there's that.

Swansea under Bob Bradley were not good. In fact, they were dog sh*t.. genuinely. Regardless of that, even at their lowest point when Big Bad Bob was screaming from the sidelines to punt the ball to towards the end zone Gylfi Sigurðsson could still be considered a fantasy option.

Why? Well because if Swansea were going to score even at their lowest point - it was more than likely that Siggy would be involved either supplying or scoring.

Looking at current form now though and there's a bit of a turnaround happening in Wales. Swansea City boss Paul Clement has won the Barclays Premier League manager of the month award after winning three of his five games in charge in January.

So.. If Siggy was an option back in the Big Bad Bob days then surely now he has to be given serious consideration for your squad in the coming weeks coming off a goal in each of his past 3 games.

Throw into consideration that he takes penalties, set pieces and the piss outta the Swansea shirt shop for misspelling his surname wrong and you could be onto a winner!

And Swansea actually play in Gameweek 26 also....so there's that

FInally, let's pick a defender for some clean sheet points. The Big Belgian destroyer and one of my personal favourites Mr Romelu Lukaku put 4 goals past Bournemouth as Everton ran away with a 6-3 victory last week. Net result of that - their next opponents Middlesbrough will be bricking it at the very thought of trying to defend against him.

Boro actually have a good defensive record this season but scoring goals has not been their strong point at all.

All of this is hopefully pointing towards clean sheet points for Everton and we are dangerously close to me actually making my point.

Funes Mori... Since the Koeman Master General has brought him into his team he's done well. Yes, he lacks the set pieces from Leighton Baines and yes he lacks the goal threat of Seamus "I want to be the next Gareth Bale" Coleman but what he lacks in offensive attributes he makes up for in price. Yes that's right folks - We all need to tighten the belts here and at £4.7m he's a solid £1m cheaper than the other pair making it an easier

And he once scored a fantastic goal for River Plate in the derby against Boca Juniors for a 2-1 win, their first in 10 years at La Bombonera... So there's that.
