England Have Emerged As Favourites To Win UEFA Nations League
Following their thrilling 2-1 win over Croatia yesterday at Wembley, England have now emerged as the favourites to win the inaugural Nations League trophy.
Andrej Kramaric gave the visitors the lead 57 minutes in, however, Harry Kane set-up Jesse Lingard before netting a winner with five minutes to go.
The result means that Gareth Southgate's side have progressed to the semi-finals of the tournament in Portugal next summer, where they will be joined by the hosts, Switzerland and either France or the Netherlands.
Holland take on relegated German tonight and they only need a draw in order to progress ahead of France to the finals.
And it is the Three Lions who are clear frontrunners at 9/4, while World Cup winners France and Euro 2016 champions Portugal are both 3/1, respectively.
Switzerland, who eight in the FIFA World Rankings, are 5/1 and rejuvenated Holland, who failed to qualify for the Euros but have now rebuilt, are 8/1 to lift the title.
