2018 is well underway and what a start to the year it's already been. We've had a number of epic moments, notably Rob Cross' PDC World Championship win, Nottingham Forest dumping out Arsenal in the FA Cup and England finally winning a cricket match over in Australia.
With the Six Nations, Australian Open, Royal Rumble and Cheltenham Festival all taking place before Easter Sunday, there's plenty to keep us occupied during the winter months.
However, all of this incredible sporting action comes with an added temptation. A temptation greater than that of Adam & Eve and that's to have a bet on every single sporting event you watch.
There will be more odds, offers and specials thrown at you from media outlets than Jim White could throw a yellow tie at but we want you to remember this key message:
You don't have to bet on all of them.
We've all been in that situation, where you're bored at home with the football on in the background and only the constant rumblings of social media to keep you company.
Advert
The temptation to 'liven up' the day by betting on the next race, match, event etc grows stronger as it seems like an enjoyable way to pass the time.
You start kidding yourself and pretend to have become an expert overnight on the local speedway meetings or the Super League Netball taking place that evening and it results in you placing losing bets that deep down you should never have placed in the first place.
We've all been in that position of regret after losing a bet so it's better to avoid that happening and not place it in the first place.
Remember, when the fun stops, stop.
