Chelsea Hoping To Land Four Big Names In January Transfer Window
Chelsea could be about to add four stars to their ranks in a January spending spree.
Maurizio Sarri's men are still unbeaten in the league and are well-backed at 16/1 to go all the way and win the title, and the latest betting suggests a whole host of key names could be on their way to Stamford Bridge.
As things stand the bookies make Krzystof Piatek the most likely man for a winter move at 5/4, ahead of Alex Sandro (10/3), Elseid Hysaj (7/2) and Christian Pulisic (3/1).
Piatek, who is 23-years-old, only signed for Genoa in the summer and has already reportedly caught the eye of a number of European giants including Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Barcelona after already scoring nine goals in the Serie A this season after just 12 games.
He also bagged his first goal for Poland last month after just two caps for the national team.
And the forward has made it clear he wants a move away from the Italian side, claiming they are a 'stepping stone.'
"The dream of those who come to Genoa is that they use it as a stepping stone towards a big club," Piatek told Corriere Della Sera.
"If I continue this way, I could sign for a big club. My objective is to play in the Champions League."
While, Sandro's place in the Juventus squad is under threat as the Old Lady are reportedly chasing Jordi Alba and Marcelo.
Sandro joined the Italian giants from Porto in 2015 and has since won three consecutive Serie A's and Coppa Italia's.
Hysaj, who currently ply's his trade as a right-back for Napoli, has worked under Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri at Empoli and Gli Azzurri.
And the Albanian's agent has hinted that the West London club are interested in his player.
"Hysaj being targeted by Chelsea and other clubs? If you see that Ancelotti is playing Malcuit and you feel that Napoli is looking for other players, obviously it means that there are also requests for him," he told Radio CRC, via Calciomercato.
"Hysaj is a player who can do well in English football, since he has a lot of physicality and he is being targeted by many clubs.
Meanwhile, Pulisic is widely regarded to be one of the best young midfielders in the world.
The 20-year-old broke through the ranks at Borussia Dortmund two years ago and has also already picked up 22 caps for the USA.
However, it is understood that Dortmund have warned Chelsea that the youngster is not for sale.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Chelsea have been in fine form so far this season. Keep hold of Eden Hazard and add a couple of stars to their ranks and Sarri's men could be genuine contenders for the title."
