It has been an eventful week for Saracens player Alex Goode, who was named European Player of the Year after his side came from 10-0 down to beat Leinster in the Champions Cup final.

The Sarries completed the impressive comeback when Billy Vunipola's match-winning try secured a 20-10 victory.

And it didn't take long for the players to begin their post match celebrations, holding the trophy with fans and making the most of their third European title win in four years at St James' Park.

One of those men who played a big part in the celebrations was 31-year-old Goode, who play a pivotal role in his team's victory on Saturday afternoon.

The versatile full back also celebrated his birthday on Tuesday, so it was time to enjoy the moment and boy, did he do just that.

Over 24 hours after his team won the Champions Cup, he was spotted wearing a full kit - complete with boots and gum shield in his sock - down the local pub.

Saracens teammate Sean Maitland posted the following pictures on his Instagram, with captions like "different level" and "my brothers."

Goode lauded his teammates after the final whistle, labelling them as "special":

"It's a special team. The second half was our best performance in any game I've known. It's the only club I've ever known and it means so much to me to win with Sarries." he told BBC.
