The First Utility Super League entered into the second third of the season last weekend, with round ten providing us with more entertainment and, as always, lots of tries.

This week, we saw Warrington lose for just the second time in the campaign, while Leeds suffered an eighth loss of the season.

Hull KR 0-40 Catalan (Thursday)

In the first game of round ten, Hull KR suffered a 40-0 drubbing at home to Catalan. The flow of the game was summed up perfectly as the away side went into the dressing room at half-time with a 28-0 lead. Winger Jodie Broughton opened the scoring for the visitors inside two minutes, before tallying a brace shortly after Vincent Duport crossed the whitewash.

Centre Krisnan Inu brilliantly took a Richie Myler bomb before Gregory Mounis scored Catalan's fifth try of the evening before the break. Laurent Frayssinous's side showed no let-up of their dominance, as Richie Myler went over for a soft try from dummy-half, before forward Willie Mason put the game to bed with another easy finish.

Warrington 22-25 St Helens (Friday)

In one of two games on Friday, Warrington suffered just their second loss of the season at home to St Helens. Warrington went over first, as Kevin Penny caught a cross-field kick, largely unopposed by opposite number Jack Owens. Centre Ryan Atkins took his side further in front, before Saints' prop Kyle Amor and youngster Jack Ashworth hit back for the away side.

In-form Ben Currie made sure his side led at half-time with his tenth try of the season. St Helens hit the front again after the break, as tries from Matty Dawson and youngster Morgan Knowles, as well as a drop-goal from Luke Walsh, put Keiron Cunningham's men 25-14 ahead. The second-half Saints scores meant Warrington's late spur from wingers Kevin Penny and Tom Lineham, who added two scores in five minutes, weren't enough to secure the Wolves victory.

Hull FC 37-20 Huddersfield (Friday)

Hull FC recorded a fifth successive Super League win at the hands of struggling Huddersfield, who suffered their ninth loss from ten games this season. Josh Bowden broke the deadlock for Hull FC, before Huddersfield went in front through Aaron Murphy, after having levelled with Joe Wardle's effort. It was then the home side's turn to score back-to-back tries, as Liam Watts and Jamie Shaul came up with individual scores.

Danny Brough added a further effort for the visitors before the break. Hull then dominated the second half, scoring three tries and a drop-goal. Danny Haughton claimed a try, Jamie Shaul bagged a brace, then Marc Sneyd finished the contest with a single pointer after Jermaine McGillvary's late consolation.

Salford 14-10 Leeds (Saturday)

In Saturday's only game, Salford inflicted yet another defeat on last season's treble winners Leeds with victory at the AJ Bell Stadium. Logan Tomkins opened the scoring, barging his way over after a simple run from dummy-half. Salford half-back Robert Lui, on his return to the side following injury, dummied his way through the Leeds defence, providing himself with the easiest of finishes. The Rhinos' Keith Galloway and Ashton Golding got tries back for the visitors, but they weren't enough to claw the away side back into the game.

Wakefield 62-0 Wigan (Sunday)

In the biggest result of the weekend, rejuvenated Wakefield secured their fourth straight win under new coach Chris Chester as they demolished Wigan in the biggest score line of the season so far. The Wildcats led 22-0 at half-time thanks to a brace from half-back Jacob Miller and individual scores from Nick Scruton and and winger Tom Johnstone.

There was no let-up from the home side on the young Wigan team, who were without mainstays like Dom Manfredi and Liam Farrell. Liam Finn added his own score, before Miller completed his hat-trick. Forward Danny Kirmond then scored back-to-back tries, before Ben Jones-Bishop, Max Jowitt and Nick Scruton's second of the afternoon secured victory.

Widnes 24-34 Castleford (Sunday)

In the final game of round ten, a Denny Solomona hat-trick inspired Castleford's comeback, inflicting a fourth successive Super League defeat on Widnes. Denis Betts' men led 18-0 inside 20 minutes, thanks to tries from Patrick Ah Van, Macgraff Leuluai, as well as a brilliant full-length effort from winger Corey Thompson, the Australian's 12th try of the campaign. Denny Solomona tallied a brace before half-time, before completing his hat-trick shortly after the restart and joining Corey Thompson on 12 tries for the season.

Ryan Boyle and Luke Gale added tries to take Daryl Powell's away side further in front, before Widnes hooker Lloyd White's late effort was made a consolation with a Paul McShane try in the dying minutes.

Round 10 saw Widnes drop to fifth in the table after four successive defeats, while Catalan and Hull rise up to second and third respectively after five straight wins to their names.

In round 11, there are only four Super League games, as last season's bottom four take part in the Challenge Cup. In the Super League, St. Helens face Castleford, while Warrington take on suffering Huddersfield.
