Luca Toni may have pulled off one of sport's biggest miracles by somehow beating Phil Taylor at darts.

The former Italy striker teamed up with the trailblazing Fallon Sherrock during an event in Germany and showed off of the worst techniques ever seen on the oche.

Toni and female star Sherrock took on 16-time world champion Taylor and German presenter Daniel Boschmann.

And the 2006 World Cup winner had a rather unorthodox way of throwing the darts.

The event in Bonn was a celebrity World Cup and featured darts stars such as Michael van Gerwen as well as professional footballers like Max Kruse.

Toni and Sherrock were victorious in this clash and that was largely thanks to the female pro, who made history at the World Darts Championship with her run to the third round.

In the third and deciding leg, Taylor missed two darts at double eight to win the match and Sherrock stepped in.

The 25-year-old, who was the first woman to beat a man in the World Darts Championship, hit double 17 to seal the victory for their team.

In another match in their group, Sherrock was seen showing Toni where the double nine target was on the board.

Van Gerwen and professional handball player Pascal Hens went on to win the tournament.
