Michael van Gerwen Throws Seventeen Perfect Darts

Michael van Gerwen nearly carved himself into darting history back in 2012 by throwing back-to-back nine-darters, though the mighty Dutchman did execute seventeen perfect darts.

The stage was the semi-finals of the PDC 2013 World Darts Championship against James Wade. And van Gerwen stepped up to the oche slamming home a delightful nine-dart finish. Then, he very nearly did it again.

After producing seventeen perfect darts, van Gerwen narrowly missed out on double 12. Relive one of the greatest moments in the sports history below:
