Two weeks removed from the thrilling heavyweight firefight between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko - which etched itself into boxing history, UFC now showcase their heavyweight talent as Stipe Miocic and Junior Dos Santos headline a truly stacked card at UFC 211.

MMA fans, we're in for a treat.

Topping the card from Dallas, Texas, is a rematch of their slug-fest in 2014 where Dos Santos eked out a narrow split-decision against Miocic.

The Brazilian banger earned the win but Miocic has since clinched the UFC heavyweight title after dethroning Fabricio Werdum on enemy territory.

The American-Croatian firefighter attempts to make the second successful defence while seeking to avenge his defeat, as Dos Santos hopes to become a two-time UFC champion.

Miocic's ability to marry his varied striking with his wrestling will keep the ex-champion guessing, though Dos Santos' take down defence shouldn't be taken for granted, even Cain Velasquez had trouble to take him to the ground.

Miocic vs. Dos Santos. This is MMA at it's finest.

As well as the UFC heavyweight title contest, the promotions women's strawweight champion also puts her belt on the line in the co-main event.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk returns to the scene where she claimed the 115 lbs strap over two years ago at UFC 185, brutalizing Carla Esparza in a lop-sided victory.

The Polish phenom was a massive underdog with Esparza's superior wrestling expected to neutralize her striking prowess.

Though Jedrzejczyk's sprawl and brawl technique proved too much for the champion eventually picking up the stoppage in dominant fashion inside the distance.

The budding superstar has since reeled off four consecutive title defences which includes another win over the consensus No.1 ranked fighter, Claudio Gadelha.

Jedrzejczyk is on the cusp of becoming a UFC star. Her endearing personality coupled with her brilliant violence inside the famed Octagon has captured the hearts of the MMA community while spilling over to the coveted casuals.

In her way is Jessica Andrade. The imposing challenger is riding a three-fight win streak, though as Jedrzejczyk sets her cross-hairs on racking up another title defence, she also harbours ambitions of holding aloft a second UFC title following the introduction of a women's flyweight division.

So, not only do MMA fans have two title fights to sink their teeth into, but UFC 211 also boasts a mouth-watering under card with three bouts really garnering plenty of attention.

Demian Maia vs. Jorge Masivdal, Frankie Edgar vs. Yair Rodriguez and Eddie Alvarez vs. Dustin Poirer. Good lord, those fights.

Jiu-jitsu ace Maia hopes to secure a UFC title shot by continuing his fine form inside the cage by taking on former street-fighter Masvidal.

The American Top Team product is fresh off his biggest win of his professional career after taking out fan favourite Donald Cerrone, on his turf no less.

While Velasqeuz spearheaded UFC's venture into Mexico, in order to spread the MMA gospel across a rich boxing territory a Mexican-born superstar is needed.

Enter Rodriguez. 'El Pantera' is destined for stardom with his fan-friendly style and could go from prospect to contender on Saturday night as he takes on the consummate professional Edgar.

And if that wasn't enough, a lightweight bout pitting two of the nastiest fighters in the division precedes the main-card.

Poirier returned to the win column in typical fashion by getting involved in a barnburner with Jim Miller. Whereas Alvarez - the only fighter in MMA history to win titles in UFC and Bellator - will be seeking to rebound from his devastating loss to McGregor. This has 'Fight of the Night' written all over it.

In short, UFC 211 is the sickest card for some time and it's moments away.

Enjoy the fights, folks.
