Conor McGregor's path to beginning the star attraction in MMA came in 2007 when he had his first match in The Ring of Truth - a Dublin-based promotion.
McGregor took on Ciaran Campbell in his first fight and scored the victory thanks to a TKO in the opening round after dishing out punishment to his opponent.
Without the plethora of tattoos, 18-year old McGregor is also noticeably thinner in terms of physique but his swagger, technique and brutality is there to see from the beginning - all three traits have made him the global superstar and box office attraction he is today.

The 28-year old turned professional shortly after he made quick work of Campbell and has only suffered three losses in his professional career - one of which came at the hands of Nate Diaz back at UFC 196.
Less than ten years on, McGregor is looking to make history when he takes on Eddie Alvarez in what promises to be a mouthwatering bout at UFC 205. At Madison Square Garden, McGregor will aim to become the first ever competitor to hold titles at different weight classes.
