UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez recalls the time he shared a locker room with UFC 205 opponent Conor McGregor back in 2014 at UFC 178 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The American was competing in his promotional debut against Donald Cerrone while McGregor was making his Las Vegas bow taking on Dustin Poirier. Participating on the card yielded contrasting results for both men. The Irishman made light work of Poirer knocking him out inside two minutes though Alvarez lost a hard-fought decision.

But prior to their respective fights, the Philly-fighter described spending some time with him as they warmed up which included Artem Lobov - McGregor's sparring partner - getting the "living shit" beat out of him.

"He got ready and I got ready. I remember him bringing some training guy, they padded him up real well, and Conor just beat the shit out him for like three hours, I thought it was the funniest shit I ever seen." He told Talking Brawls.

After sharing a locker room before heading out to their UFC 178 bouts, two years later the pair now duke it out for the UFC lightweight title at the historic UFC 205 in New York City on November 12th.
