It now seems to be confirmed that we will not be seeing Conor McGregor's rematch with Nate Diaz take place at UFC 200 on July 9th. The UFC have just announced their headline fight for the event and it will be Jon 'Bones' Jones taking on Daniel Cormier for the Light Heavyweight Championship.
The pair previously met at UFC 182 in January of last year, where Jones emerged victorious via unanimous decision in a bout that was voted as 'Fight Of The Night'. It was later revealed that Jones failed a drug test one month prior to the event, as he tested positive for cocaine and was subsequently stripped of the title.

Cormier would go onto defeat Anthony Johnson via rear naked choke to claim the vacant title at UFC 187 before successfully defending it against Alexander Gustafsson by split decision at UFC 192 in October.
The fight is set to be one of the most highly anticipated rematches in UFC history, maybe even moreso than McGregor vs Diaz 2. Dana White will be hoping his decision not to add 'Notorious' back to the supercard doesn't come back to haunt him.
