Watch: The Gruesome Moment Blood Splatters From Strongman's Nose During 67st Deadlift

Blood poured from the nose of a Russian strongman as he attempted to lift a massive 426kg/939lbs deadlift.

Mikhail Shivlyakov, a former Marine sailor, was the victor in the Arnold Amateur Strongman in 2013.

Five years on, he finished in third place in the professional strongman at this year's Arnold festival, where Hafthor Bjornsson, better known as "The Mountain" from Game Of Thrones, reigned supreme and took home the top prize for the first time in his career.

The 38-year old claimed $17,000 for his third-placed finish and he was more than deserving of that sum when you see the limits he pushed himself to when deadlifting a whopping 67 stone.

Proudly wearing his beret from when he in the Navy, the 293-pounder quite literally poured his blood, sweat and tears into the lift.

Blood sprayed from his nostrils, with his face streaming with the red fluid and it creating a visual that you should definitely not lay eyes on when eating or drinking.

Remarkably, he successfully completed the ridiculous lift and nonchalantly wiped the blood with a towel as if it was just a standard day on the job.
