In a world where people get offended by pretty much everything, this latest story comes as no surprise.

Ellen Degeneres (TV host, voice of Dory in Finding Nemo etc) has caused a stir on the Internet after posting this meme:

I'll be honest, when I first saw it I had to stare at it for ages to try and see what the problem was. Then I started reading the tweets...

Okay, fair enough. I'm not going to judge on whether or not this is racist but everyone has an opinion and I respect that.

However, others then waded into the debate...

This tweet has really caused some friction. However, Usain Bolt himself actually retweeted it. So take from that what you will.

Ellen responded to the accusations, however she has kept the original tweet up despite the backlash.
