As he sits on the shelf awaiting the birth of his first child, Conor McGregor continues to be called-out with MMA legend Anderson Silva wanting a super-fight with the lightweight king.
While the Floyd Mayweather saga rumbles on, McGregor has since responded to the Brazilian's offer in typical McGregor fashion.
Despite Silva already having an assignment this weekend in the shape of Derek Brunson, the former middleweight champion is eyeing up a fight with the 'Notorious'.
Speaking on the UFC 208 media call, Silva maintains he respects the Irishman but believes it's a great challenge for himself.

"I have a lot of respect for Conor McGregor because this man changed everything in the UFC. I'm very respectful of Conor McGregor's style. I think it's a great challenge for my martial arts technique."
"I don't talk to disrespect Conor. It's just a challenge for myself and for the best stand-up fighting. I respect Conor, and I think this would be a great show, a great fight for the rest of my life, the rest of my story in the UFC."
Could a former 205lbs fighter really take on a ex-145lbs champion? Though It sure would be a sensational stylistic match-up considering both fighters stand-up prowess.
Meanwhile, the Crumlin-fighter is ready to oblige as long as the money is right - it's McGregor after all. "F*ck every one of them." He said during an interview with Ariel Helwani.
