LeBron James returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers and promised to turn them into NBA champions for the first time and he managed it earlier this month but now the NBA legend is going to become a free agent, but just to make more money.
LeBron was in incredible form during the finals series against the Golden State Warriors as the Cavs became the first team in history to overturn a 3-1 deficit in the series to win 4-3, beating the Warriors 93-89 in game seven at the Oracle Arena.
However King James' agent has confirmed that he won't be taking up the player on his contract instead becoming a free agent where in he'll resign for the Cavs for a higher wage, believed to be $27.5 million up from the $24 million he'd have been on instead.
It's just so the 31 year-old can restructure his current deal with the wage cap going up in NBA for next season, the previous cap had stopped him earning any more in keeping with his team's budget.

The Cleveland born forward is expected to pull the same trick next season when the wage cap goes up once again.
The Cavs won the first major sports trophy in the city for 52 years with James picking up the Finals MVP.
