Kurt Angle Tells People He's Returning To The WWE Next Year

Oh it's damn true

Given that pretty much every single wrestler in the history of sports entertainment has made some sort of return to the WWE in the past few years, it's slightly curious that we're still yet to see everyone's favourite Olympic Gold Medalist with a 'broken freaking neck' make his way back to Titan Towers.

But now, it seems as though Kurt Angle's 10 year absence from the WWE ring is over.

According to The Wrestling Observer, the former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion, who has since spent most of his time with the oft doomed TNA as well at stints at various independent promotions plus some time in New Japan Pro Wrestling, is now telling wrestling promoters that he's set to return to Big Vinnie Mac in 2017.

While a return in time for WrestleMania 33 in April may be a bit short sighted due to several high profile matches already being in the books, a return the night after on Raw would be a perfect place to start the American hero's second stint with the company.

Of course, this isn't the first time Angle's claimed to be on the verge of a return to the WWE, but with only two independent dates booked for 2017 as of now (matches against fellow WWE alumni Cody Rhodes and Alberto Del Rio), the Gold medalist's schedule is suspiciously open.

Given that the likes of Samoa Joe, Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to name but a few are all ready and waiting for Angle, not to mention previous WWE rivals Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, John Cena and The Undertaker, there's really no better time for everyone's favourite milk drinking lunatic to come back and begin spouting the three I's and suplexing fools out of their boots.

Make it happen, Vince.
