Just How Much Is Conor McGregor Actually Worth?

We reveal all...

There is no denying that Conor McGregor has taken the sport of Mixed Martial Arts to another level, another planet. Way beyond what they could have hoped to achieve in such a short time frame.

But, how much of the sports success reflects on Conor McGregor? How much is 'The Notorious' worth?

His net worth (overall worth) is estimated at around £17.5m. This is made up from around £14m in salaries and winnings, while an extra £3.5m comes from sponsorship and endorsements.

He's the only UFC fighter to appear on Forbes' top 100 list of top earners in the world.

He was the first ever fighter to reach the £400,000 mark in December 2015, and now he looking set to easily become the first man to earn $100m in winnings.

If you want someone to compare this with, Nate Diaz - one of the few who have actually beaten McGregor in a fight - is worth (just) £2.35m.

In fact, it was the rematch against Diaz that proved to be McGregor's biggest earning fight. He scooped £2.3m for 'round two' after he lost the first fight only five months earlier. He won the second match with a points victory.

His sponsorship deals come in the form of Reebok, Bud Light, Monster Energy, Volvo, Dethrone Royalty Brand and nutrition brand BSN.

All this nets him that extra top-up in wages, and means that every now and then he'll knock out (so to speak) a cheesy line to promote a company.

With all this dosh floating around, McGregor has had to spend it somehow. He bought a £1.5m mansion in Ladycastle, County Kildaire, Ireland, after the 13-second victory over Jose Aldo in 2015. A far cry from the streets of Dublin where he grew up.

Car-wise, McGregor is believed to own eight. These include a whit BMW i8, Cadillac Escalade and a high-powered Mercedes.

But none more powerful, or as costly, as his Rolls Royce Dawn - the top-end of a top-end car range. It costs around £275,000.

There's plenty of chat about his next move, his next fight. There are strong rumours that McGregor will fight former boxer Floyd Mayweather, although no pen has been put to paper yet.

Earlier this year it was reported that both parties had agreed to the deal, but a 'third party hold up' had slowed down proceedings.

The Irishman is currently taking time out to support his partner who is pregnant with their first child.

If this fails, however, there is always a possibility of a decider against Nate Diaz - with them both having one win a-piece from the two fights they've shared to date.

The Mayweather fight could easily roll a bill of over $100m whereas there is also no doubt that the Diaz rematch could eclipse the previous $3m purse.

Although UFC was founded 24 years ago, it's rise over the last five has been remarkable and UFC 129 drew in a crowd of over 55,000 people last year.
