Has Conor McGregor just responded to Tony Ferguson or has he announced that he's starring in Grand Theft Auto 6: Dublin?

The Irishman continues to keep his cards close to his chest following his lucrative foray into the world of boxing. McGregor swapped the Octagon for the boxing ring, as he made his professional bow against Floyd Mayweather.

He lured the 40-year-old out of retirement, but ultimately suffered defeat. The returning American successfully racked up his 50th professional victory after finishing McGregor in the 10th round.

Though while another boxing bout has been muted in Paulie Malignaggi, following their fallout from sparring, his fans are hoping he returns to the cage under the UFC banner.

It appeared a trilogy fight with Nate Diaz was high on everyone's list. From Dana White to his coaches John Kavanagh and Owen Roddy.

But, over the weekend, Tony Ferguson put his name forward after clinching the interim-UFC lightweight title. He put away Kevin Lee via a slick submission with the UFC president hoping to crown a undisputed champion in his 155lbs division.

And a few days removed from UFC 216, McGregor has exited fans with a cryptic Tweet:
