John Kavanagh has gone on record giving his prediction for the imminent rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz next month.

Back at UFC 196, McGregor suffered his first UFC loss as Diaz peppered him on the feet before submitting him in the second round. The Irishman cited a lack of efficiency with his energy as the root of the problem on fight night.

In preparation for the American, they've introduced a stringent and more precise training regiment with his long-time coach even calling it "military style."

In a recent Perisope session, the Straight Blast Gym head-coach addressed their first meeting and notched it down to him simply getting tired while throwing "too many power shots, got tired."

When asked about his prediction for the rematch he defiantly said "four" anticipating a stoppage in the home stretch.

Following Jose Aldo claiming the interim-featherweight title at UFC 200 he was quizzed on whether he would give the Brazilian a rematch subsequently dropping back down to 145lbs, stating the cut is "Not easy. Let's get this one out of the way."

Meanwhile, the team had a special guest pop by their camp in Las Vegas.

The highly-awaited rematch is a little over four weeks away as the pair are set to headline UFC 202 on August 20th - early hours Sunday for us British and Irish folks.
