UFC 205 is the biggest sporting event this week as Conor McGregor bids to make UFC history but the mega-card is being somewhat overshadowed by the 58th US presidential election which culminated last night appointing fucking Donald Trump as president.

As McGregor prepares to tackle UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez this weekend in New York, naturally the charismatic Irishman was asked about the Republican member.

But admitted. "I just could not give a bollocks." He told BT Sport.

(Forget politics, UFC 205 is where it's at)

Speaking prior to election night, the 28-year-old added; "The whole thing is just weird to me. I don't think anything is going to change."

While offering an insight to what he thinks are happening to the public; "I think the public are brainwashed into thinking that something is going to happen."

Before finishing by saying; "I don't think (he will) have any power."

(Trump makes his acceptance speech following his victory to become 45th prez of 'Merica)

Could McGregor see himself in politics once he's done fighting? Well, when asked the featherweight kingpin replied; "I don't like to con the people."

Though if Trump's election is anything to prove is that you don't need experience, so with McGregor's popularity he's a shoo-in. He's probably a better option than the human cheeto they got now.
