While Conor McGregor prepares himself for the impending rematch with Nate Diaz, the Irishman is being verbally slayed by a newly-minted champion.
Following his devastating victory over Rafael dos Anjos, Eddie Alvarez is undergoing a media victory lap giving his thoughts on the fight as well as his next opponent.
Despite a majority of UFC fans wanting Alvarez to fight Dagestani phenom Khabib Nurmagomedov, a potential super-fight with McGregor still remains feasible.
But he isn't too impressed with the featherweight champion. Speaking to CBS Sports Radio via MMA Fighting; "I don't know him personally, but thank God he's good at talking because he can't fight for shit."

Adds by giving a damning verdict on his previous opponents; "He's not fighting anyone who he feels he can lose to."
He also claims fans are delusional if they think the Crumlim-fighter can beat him; "Do you think you can beat Conor McGregor?' And I'm like, 'Oh my God. You guys are disillusioned.'They think because this man's popular he's good. And neither one of them have anything to do with each other." The American said on Jim Norton's SiriusXM show.
Now we want to see Alvarez vs. McGregor.

But before any potential champion vs. champions fight, McGregor throws down with Diaz on August 20th as he seeks redemption while the Stockton-native proves the UFC 196 victory was no fluke.
