CM Punk's UFC bow was ultimately a disappointing one after succumbing to Mickey Gall's ground assault eventually sinking in a rear-naked choke.

Despite the quick submission loss the former professional wrestling star raked in the cash. The Ohio Athletic Commission have released the figures and the 37-year-old made a flat $500,000, with just the main-eventing heavyweights making more.

Keep in mind that the figure above doesn't include additional compensation from sponsorship, undisclosed "locker room" bonuses, or cuts of the pay-per-view revenue that some UFC stars have in their contracts, which he is expected to receive.

UFC president Dana White suggested that they "probably" won't have Punk fight again inside the famed Octagon if he does indeed continue fighting.
