Christmas is the season for giving and former WWE superstar CM Punk was certainly feeling generous this time around.

Punk, real name Phil Brooks, who was informed of his WWE departure on his wedding back in 2014 following disagreements about creative, coupled injury problems such as a staph infection and a concussion that he says was mistreated by WWE doctor Christopher Amann.

And though championships come and go for those working in WWE, Punk still had the title that he won memorably in his hometown of Chicago against John Cena in Money in the Bank in his possession.

However the 38-year old, who was beaten by Mikey Gall in his first fight in UFC, gave the coveted title away to a friend this Christmas.

Punk was in WWE developmental with Cliff Compton, a former tag team champion when he played the character "Domino" in the tag team "Deuce and Domino".

Compton says he was in the storage unit of Punk's house and came across the title that straight edge superstar held on two occasions.

And Punk got into the festive spirit by telling him the Championship was his to take.

A lot of people questioned Compton's story - causing him to post a picture in order to the prove that the title is legitimate.

Who needs Santa when you've got CM Punk?
