The American has already made a successful transition to the sport while making waves in MMA.

Mackenzie Dern is one of the most decorated female Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioners, and as she transitions to mixed-martial-arts a former UFC champion is claiming she'll be bigger than Ronda Rousey.

The 23-year-old phenom made a successfully MMA debut by easily out-pointing Kenia Rosas at Legacy Fighting Championships, despite starting out her career, Benson Henderson is expecting big things from her.



"She will be bigger than Ronda Rousey before Ronda Rousey lost" The former UFC and WEC champ said on The MMA Hour, while adding; "She's going to be huge. She's going to be big."

Dern already boasts an incredible following on social media - we wonder why - with over 200k Instagram followers, which is on par or even better than some UFC stars, as she hones her craft in Phoenix, Arizona, at the famed MMA lab.


The American competes in the strawweight division, one of two UFC women's division, believe it or not she also holds a victory in BJJ over this juggernaut. No doubt as she continues to rack up the victories she'll garner more attention, sooner or later the UFC will come in.
