Brock Lesnar's return to the octagon at UFC 200 was even more dominant than anyone could have expected, following a five year absence from the MMA world for 'The Beast'. That dominance was soon tarnished by the revelations that the former Heavyweight Champion had twice tested positive for estrogen blocker clomiphene in the build up to the fight. Now, the Nevada State Athletic Commission have set a day to mete out Lesnar's punishment.

It is expected that Lesnar and his camp will appeal to the NSAC to extend his current temporary suspension as they attempt to, as Lesnar said in the wake of the first positive test being made public, "get to the bottom of this." At this moment in time, though, the official ruling is due to take place on 23rd August, just two days after Lesnar makes his return to a WWE ring to take on Randy Orton at SummerSlam.

Lesnar failed his first test on June 28th and then tested positive again on the night of UFC 200. A delay in getting the results from the first positive test meant that the four time WWE Champion was allowed to compete at the landmark event, where he earned a comfortable unanimous decision victory over 'Samoan Superman' Mark Hunt.

'The Beast' could potentially be facing a two year ban from the UFC, although the promotion didn't strip the former champ of his $2.5m fight purse earned at UFC 200, while the NSAC also didn't fine him for either of his failed USADA tests.
