Great news for MMA fans.

Earlier this week UFC president Dana White disappointed fans by announcing the 'ship had sailed' on the possibility of a fight between reigning middleweight champ Michel Bisping and former welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre.

"I made this GSP fight, we did a press conference. The thing was supposed to happen in July. Michael Bisping is going to have to defend his title now. We're not waiting for GSP," White told FOX Sports Australia's UFC Fight Week.

But you'll be pleased to hear that White has now done a huge U-turn, claiming: "That ship fucking turned around and sailed back."So, it looks as though the long-awaited fight is on the cards after all, having previously been announced and then cancelled due to a Bisping knee injury.

MMA Fighting reports that the bout has been agreed for November 4 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

GSP was due to fight welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, but White made clear in the press conference that this would no longer be happening, due to Woodley's lacklustre performance against Demian Maia.

"Yup. There you go. Because I know Michael Bisping will fight. Michael Bisping will show up and actually fight," said White. "So yeah, we will give it to him. The ship turned around and fucking sailed back."

When asked about Woodley's performance, White wasn't impressed at all, and he let the welterweight champ know it.

He added: "We just had a little talk in the back, you know?

"He said, 'I heard you were talking about my performance.' And I said, 'You broke a record tonight (fewest punches thrown), that speaks for itself'.

"He said, 'Well he has 17 takedown attempts.' So I said, 'Yeah, not one of them were close, you fought them off and the guy had one eye since the first round'.

"I believe Woodley could have finished that fight in the first round. If not, he definitely could've finished in the second round.

"If you had a remote control for that guy, the guy is a freak of nature, an incredible fighter.

"Now, it's easy to say a win is a win, but when you get booed out of the arena, that means people don't want to watch you fight. That's how you make a living and it's not good if people don't want to watch you fight."
