Wrestling Legend Goldberg Shares Some Amazing Details About His Career

"I ripped my abdomen off my pelvis"

When a man as fearsome looking as Bill Goldberg tells you something hurts, it's probably a good idea to believe him. The former WCW and WWE World Heavyweight Champion is best known for mowing down pretty much the entire roster of World Championship Wrestling throughout 1997 and 1998, a streak which culminated with his historic victory over 'Hollywood' Hulk Hogan at the Georgia Dome, in July 1998. However, despite being one of the most notoriously terrifying blokes in modern wrestling history, there are injuries which have absolutely floored 'The Man'.

In an exclusive interview with TheSPORTbible in Los Angeles, on the set of his recent teaser trailer for the upcoming WWE 2K17 video game, Goldberg revealed that the time he tore his abdomen clean off his pelvis, during his time in the NFL, was the most painful injury he's ever endured. His ripped abdomen narrowly beats the laceration he received after putting his arm throw a limo window during an episode of WCW Nitro, which ended up requiring over 190 stitches, in the pain stakes.

As well as discussing injuries, Goldberg shared a couple of brilliant stories from his wrestling career, including 'Mr. Perfect' Curt Hennig's under the ring toilet habits and wrestling a trunkless Ric Flair.

"I think Shawn Michaels pulling Ric Flair's trunks down and then tagging me in so I could wrestle Ric, was one of the funniest moments.

"There are a lot of funny moments that aren't gonna make this tape. I think they'll make an X-Rated book. One involves Curt Hennig having to hide under the ring for two hours before his match culminated at the end of the night. He was under there with a bunch of other people and he'd eaten a few hard boiled eggs. I'll let you fill in the blanks, from there."

'The Man' also goes onto reveal how his diet during his wrestling days consisted of a monstrous 15,000-20,000 calories A DAY and now is roughly less than half of that, although he still had time for "four double bacon cheeseburgers" before arriving at the interview.

Does Goldberg's return for the WWE 2K17 commercial mean 'The Man' is going to return to the squared circle for 'one more match'? Let's hope so, as we reckon there's still unfinished business between him and the Mayor of Suplex City, Brock Lesnar.
