It's exactly 19 years to the day that Stone Cold Steve Austin hit his famous 'Stone Cold stunner' on Vince McMahon for the very first time, igniting the legendary Austin-McMahon feud in the process.

Austin ascended to the top of the wrestling world as the ultimate anti-hero, up against the villainous authority figure in Mr McMahon.

The events that took place in Madison Square Garden are widely considered to have well and truly started the 'Attitude Era', the most chaotic and unpredictable time in wrestling/sports entertainment.

And the Austin-McMahon rivalry proved that there's only one way to deal with your controlling, manipulative and annoying boss; by kicking him in the gut, hitting him with a stunner before guzzling beer.

The episode of Raw on September 22 1997 would mark the start of the most iconic period in wrestling and the first of many Stone Cold stunners The Texas Rattlesnake would hit on his boss.

"Hell, you can kiss my ass!"
