As far as chucking the word 'legend' about goes one player who sums it up perfectly is Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.
Now 39 the Juve number one is still the most expensive goalkeeper in the history of football, even though he hasn't moved since early in the century.

The Italian is arguably the greatest player in the Champions League era not to get his very safe hands on Europe's premier club trophy.
However he gave himself a chance at finally grabbing that glory by denying Lionel Messi a most wonderful assist early in the game on Tuesday night:
The save from Andres Iniesta's shot came with the Italian champions already 1-0 up against their Spanish counterparts from Paulo Dybala's opener.

And the Argentine striker proved how crucial 'Gigi's' save was when he went up the other end of the pitch and doubled his side's lead 76 seconds later.
A Chiellini header later in the game made it 3-0 with Barca unable to reply before the final whistle giving themselves lots to do in the second leg.
In the last round Barca were 4-0 down after the first leg before beating PSG 6-1 in the home leg, will they pull it off again?
