A heartwarming story of friendship has emerged as a man surprised his gaming pal of 15 years with a PlayStation 5 after learning he couldn't get one himself.
Reddit user ghost_knight1121 - who we now also want to be friends with - shared the feelgood story in a low-key post which has since gained attention worldwide.
The PlayStation 5 is released in the UK today but came out in the US and other parts of the world a week ago and, after learning his friend couldn't get one, this absolute hero bought two consoles so that the pair could carry on gaming together.

A photo shows the Reddit user and his friend - clearly grinning widely even under his face mask - next to one another, with the brand new PS5 duly delivered in its box.
The post has over 160,000 upvotes and counting on Reddit with people praising the act of kindness.

"Wholesome! Wishing you guys many more happy years of gaming," came another response. "This right here is what we need more of in this world," read another reply, which we can only agree with.
Strong early reviews from critics have driven demand up even higher for the new PS5. Some early reports suggest that the PS5 sold more in the first 12 hours of its worldwide release than the PS4 did in 12 weeks.
Yikes. But no problem, of course, if you have a pal like ghost_knight1121 who apparently is some kind of PlayStation Santa Claus.
Frankly, our friends resent buying us a drink under normal circumstances, let alone a new PlayStation 5 just so we can keep on playing FIFA on the same console.
