Mark Williams proved himself to be at very least the most resilient snooker player in the world and a man of his word. After a stupid pre Snooker World Championships promise he did his post tournament press conference as world champion and in the nude!
15 years ago Mark Williams won his second world title in four years, last year Mark Williams failed to qualify for the World Championships and last night the Welshman won his third world title after a brilliant final against John Higgins.

From non qualifier to winner in a year was quite the remarkable turnaround for Williams who was not expecting to win the tournament despite two ranking tournament wins this year at the Northern Ireland Open and German Masters.
In case you need much proof to Williams not thinking he'd win in Sheffield over the past couple of weeks the 43 year old claimed before the tournament that he would do the post win press conference naked if he did win.
Well he turned up with a towel, walking through all the reporters, and then derobed when he was sat behind the safety of the table and the tablecloth:
Williams revealed he had to ask Barry Hearn for permission to do the interview in his birthday suit, saying, "It's cold in here, init. It feels a little bit uncomfortable at the minute. I had to wear the towel on the orders of Barry Hearn otherwise I would just have walked in, just crying.

"It's an unbelievable story. Twelve months ago I was thinking about chucking it, and here I am doing an interview having won the 2018 World Championship, naked.
Williams, who beat Higgins 18-16 in absolute epic of a final, revealed that we'll see a lot more of him if he defends the title, and how he'd be celebrating, adding, "If I won this again next year, I'd do this again - I'd cartwheel round here naked.
"I'm going to party the night away. Last time I won it I think I had half a pint of milk and went to bed. I'm not going to bed this time - it'll be daylight before I get to bed."
