NBA Player Ben Simmons Makes Opponent 'Tap Out' After Putting Him In Rear-Naked Choke Hold

This genuinely happened. WTF.

Philadelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons was involved in a huge brawl on Wednesday night after teammate Joel Embiid went head-to-head with Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns.

On Game 7 of the 2019 World Series, both Embiid and Towns had been physical with each other all evening but things eventually boiled over in the third quarter when the pair erupted in a scene of total and utter chaos.

And when I say chaos, genuine punches were thrown and a rear-naked choke hold was applied by Simmons - not to mention the eye gauge from a furious Embiid.

Both players were eventually ejected from the game as Embiid received a standing ovation from the home crowd.

There was even a reaction from KAT's parents as the Philadelphia player walked off.

As you can imagine, social media was at its finest after these quite extraordinary scenes at the Wells Fargo Center.

Following the game, which eventually finished 117-95 to the 76ers, the former Kansas Jayhawks star claimed the NBA should not suspend him after the incident.

Embiid spoke about his tussle with Towns after the game:

"That's what I'm good at," Embiid told reporters. "I like to get in people's minds. I know [my teammates have my back]. That's what I love about this team. We love each other. ... It goes beyond basketball.

"I didn't throw any punches. So I shouldn't be suspended."

Thoughts on the above incident? What action should the NBA take?
