Former BDO World Champion Jelle Klaasen qualified top from his PDC Home Tour group on Thursday night but was accused of cheating after claiming a double he seemingly missed.

You've probably wondered at least some point during lockdown if your colleague has cheated on the Zoom work quiz and it looks like it might be easy to get away with, even if you're being recorded.

The PDC came up with the Home Tour competition to fill the void of no live sports with players competing at their own homes on their boards with a scorer over video link.

On Thursday night Klaasen, who won his opening two matches, took on Ryan Meikle, needing a win to have any chance of beating his opponent to top spot in the group, and fans accused the Dutchman of cheating after he appeared to miss double top to win a leg but claimed it.

The leg win did make a difference as Klaasen lost the match 5-4 and finished level on points in the group with Meikle.

However after taking a 3-0 and 4-1 lead in the match, which he would eventually surrender, the Dutchman topped the group because of his superior legs advantage, one better than last night's opponent.

On Friday the Dutchman took to Twitter to defend the leg and claimed it was mere camera trickery and that he would change his set up in future to avoid any more controversy.

Maybe James in accounting isn't Googling the answers after all and he really does know the currency in Iran...it's Rial if anyone is wondering.
