Pakistan Batsman Azhar Ali Run Out In Most Embarrassing Circumstances

Pakistan might be beating Australia in every department in the current Test series between the two countries but two of their batsmen have just made a monumental error and come up with the most hilarious run out ever.

The best moments in sport are when the people who are supposed to be infinitely better than the normal man or woman make such a monumental mess of things we get to laugh at them.

Sure, things going 100% right are great. Who doesn't love watching Roger Federer glide across the Wimbledon grass, but when elite sports people show themselves to be mere mortals, oh that's just beautiful.

At the weekend rugby pundits wanted us to feel sorry for Freddie Burns after his huge mistake cost Bath in the Heineken Cup but everyone who wasn't a fan of the club couldn't help but find it hilarious.

So Azhar Ali being left red faced by his own and batting partner Asad Shafiq's utter stupidity is just wonderful to most of us.

Playing against Australia Ali played the ball to gully and it appeared to be going for a four. The two Pakistanis stood chatting in the middle of the wicket, thinking the ball had gone to the boundary, only it hadn't:

It's a wonder the Aussies managed to celebrate properly and not just roll about on the floor laughing and pointing at Ali as he confusedly dragged himself off.

The number three was going well on 64 as well but it's unlikely his stupid dismissal will matter come the end of the Test.

Ali's wicket left Pakistan 297 ahead in their second innings and at time of writing that lead is now 458 thanks to Babar Azam's 72 not out.

The series is 0-0 after the first match was drawn thanks to a heroic 2nd innings batting performance from Australia.

No matter what happens in the next two days this will definitely be the best moment of the two match series.
