Adam Johnson Released From Prison After Serving Half Of His Sentence

Disgraced footballer Adam Johnson has been released from prison after serving around half of his six year long sentence for sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl back in March 2015.
After three years in prison, Johnson was released and taken from HMP Moorland in South Yorkshire in a blacked out Mercedes van driven by his father, Dave Johnson.
The van drove from Moorland - near Doncaster - to Johnson's home in Castle Eden, County Durham.
Johnson, an ex-Manchester City, Sunderland, and England footballer, will now only be allowed supervised visits with his four-year-old daughter Ayla, following his release.
It is also thought that after his early release he will be closely observed by police officials. He is not thought to have been fitted with a criminal tag to monitor his whereabouts.
His address will also be registered as a result of his sexual criminal conviction.
Johnson was jailed in 2016 at Bradford Crown Court after they heard that he had deleted 800 messages between himself and the victim from his mobile telephone. He has also been banned from contacting the victim.
As one of the conditions of his parole, he must also give over his phone to officials if requested and can be sent back to prison if he deletes anything without prior information of the officials.
Johnson will now have to wait at least 15 years before he can ask to be taken off the sex offenders register.
LADbible spoke to the Ministry of Justice to ask for confirmation, but were informed that they do not comment on individual cases.
During his career, Johnson played for Middlesbrough, Manchester, Sunderland and the England National Team. He also had loan spells at Watford and Leeds United.
However, it has been reported that he will struggle to find a club after his release, should he wish to attempt to revive his career.
In 2018, The Sun released a leaked video that showed Johnson saying that he thought he would have more chance of playing football again abroad, rather than in England.
He was shown saying: "I've got more chance abroad, you can't get a second chance in England."
Despite that, there are also strict rules regarding players with criminal records in places like the USA, Australia, and the Middle East.
The Daily Mail asked every Football League One and Two club within the area local to Johnson's home if they would consider taking the ex-convict on board. All said that they wouldn't.
