As Tyson Fury prepares to take on Deontay Wilder for the second time in Las Vegas tonight, it's a good time to have a look back at the remarkable progress he has made in the past two years.

He was completely washed-up, struggling with drugs, his mental health, and a ban from boxing that saw him lose his titles.

In the aftermath of his victory over Wladimir Klitschko, the fight in which he gained four of the five heavyweight belts on offer, he ballooned out to over 400lbs as he struggled to come to terms with his fame, and the trappings brought with it.

Now, Fury has opened up about the habits he has had to kick and the drive he's found to turn everything around.

Fury told Joe Rogan: "I was eating a lot and drinking a lot and I just stopped that stuff.

"My weight was put on through drinking excessive lager. There are 500 calories in a pint of lager and I would go out and drink 18 of them followed by whisky and vodka, then I'd stop off on the way home and eat pizzas and kebabs.

"Before I was doing a lot of long running and long boxing work, like 12-15 rounds on the pads. When I was losing the weight I was doing shorter, explosive stuff, doing more interval training."

"My diet was the most important thing, you can train like a Trojan warrior but not eat right and take three steps forward and two and a half back."

Now, he's lost ten stone, and is back to something like his fighting best.

He's still eating loads, too. Fury consumes six meals a day, all but one of which contain meat. He's now more likely to eat salmon and Greek yoghurt, instead of the kebabs he was on previously.

His nutritionist, George Lockhart - who has also worked with Conor McGregor - told Sky Sports: "Each day I try to give Tyson a diverse group of food.

"He has a different type of meat with every meal. From what I've heard in other camps he ate chicken and rice. Now we make crazy meals.

"He's had the same meal just twice in the entire camp - a jambalaya that I made. He eats six times per day and, apart from that, hasn't had the same meal twice."

"I would never make him something that he doesn't like because I can find something similar in texture and taste which would fit their palate. If he doesn't like something, he wouldn't eat it.

"There should be no reason to even want to cheat. People think healthy food is not tasty. But he's not hungry, he's not craving anything because he has a diverse diet. He has dark chocolate, honey, sweets and spices, salts - his palate gets everything that it wants."

In Las Vegas this evening, we'll see if the radical changes have paid off.
