Remember Kane from WWE? Well, his real name is Glenn Jacobs and he's now the major of Knox County, Tennessee.
That's right, the 51-year-old Republican 'Big Red Machine', as he was previously known, took 66 percent of the vote (51,804 votes, to be exact) to defeat his Democrat opponent, Linda Haney, in the run for mayor's office.

Speaking in a conference following his win, he said: "When I announced that I was going to run for mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, unfortunately, among the political establishment, it was met with pretty resounding laughter that a professional wrestler could think that he could be mayor of Knox County, Tennessee."
"The great thing was, this professional wrestler - and I normally don't use wrestling analogies for the campaign - but this professional wrestler got into a no-holds-barred, last-man-standing match, and when the bell rung, he was victorious.
"We were victorious."
WWE took to Twitter to congratulate its star, while other Twitter users have also passed comments on the wrestler's victory.

One user wrote: "Donald Trump is my president and WWE superstar Kane aka Glenn Jacobs is my mayor. What a time to be alive. 2018 is a wild place."
Another wrote: "Our mayor is fucking Kane dude, who's yours?"
Kane has been one of WWE's favourite wrestlers since he arrived on the scene in 1997.
He was initially introduced as The Undertaker's mask-wearing brother, who came to WWE to take revenge on his brother for starting a ferocious fire in which his face was left disfigured (hence the formidable face coverings).

Since then, he has choke-slammed his way to the top and remained there for over two decades.
He's not the first WWE star to be run for office, either.
In 1991, wrestler Jesse 'The Body' Ventura served as mayor of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and later as governor in 1999.
Kane's last WWE appearance was back in June this year, when he reunited with Daniel Bryan for tag-team championship at SmackDown Live - which just so happened to be smack-bang in the middle of his mayoral campaign.
But will he continue to appear in the ring?

"I may still do a few special things [with WWE]," he told reporters.
"I've done it for 23 years now and have quite a history, it'll always be a part of my life.
"I'm sure some people will say that [I'm not focused] and some others will say that's the coolest thing ever.
"Again, you can't make everyone happy. You just do what you can and that's it."
