Space Jam is a cult classic. The fact that Bugs Bunny and the rest of the Looney Tunes teamed up with Michael Jordan for a basketball match is etched firmly in the mind of '90s kids for life. Now, the long-awaited news that Space Jam 2 is happening is finally here.
LeBron James and Maverick Carter's SpringHill Entertainment has confirmed the news on Twitter, posting an image of a locker room that will make any Space Jam fan jump for joy.

Terence Nance will be directing the sequel and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler will be a producer.
There's no doubt that Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James will have some big shoes to fill, but we can only hope that Jordan and Bill Murray -- what a legend he was in the first film -- will return for some form of a cameo role.
That would be the absolute dream!
It's time to dust off those Tune Squad jerseys, folks, because the hype is officially real.
