Cristiano Ronaldo's sensational summer move to Juventus caught many by surprise this summer, but it must have been felt more by his Real Madrid teammates. However, they might not be missing him as much as some people would imagine.
Speaking to FourFourTwo, Isco has dismissed the idea that Madrid are not doing well without their former talisman.
"Cris[tiano] is an extraordinary player," he said.
"He guaranteed you 40 to 50 goals. But if we win, they'll say we don't miss him and if we don't win, they'll say we do.
"We're playing very well now; players who didn't score as many goals last year are now filling their boots. We don't miss him at the moment. I wish him all the best at Juve."
To Isco's credit, Madrid have come out this season firing on all cylinders. They've won their opening three matches in La Liga, finding themselves level on points with Barcelona and only being separated by goal difference.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner, on the other hand, has experienced a little bit of a rough start to life in Juventus' colours. He's not scored in their opening three fixtures of Serie A, despite the reigning champions winning all of their matches so far in the league.
