FIFA 20 Ultimate Team’s Team Of The Year Is Officially Here

Barcelona captain Lionel Messi and Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe headline the star-studded FIFA 20 Ultimate Team's Team of the Year.

EA Sports dropped the 55-man shortlist for this edition's Team of the Year last month and it featured the world's best from across Europe's top five leagues.

And now the FIFA publisher has revealed the latest Team of the Year, which was voted by fans for the first time in history.

Liverpool shot-stopper Alisson has taken his place between the sticks, with three of his Reds teammates featuring in the four-man backline.

Andy Robertson has been selected at left-back and Trent Alexander-Arnold has been picked at right-back.

Virgil van Dijk, who missed out on the Ballon d'Or award to Messi last month, has been partnered alongside fellow Dutch star and former Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt.

The Team of the Year, which was leaked online a few days ago, has a three-man midfield consisting of Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong, Chelsea's N'Golo Kante and Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne.

Liverpool star Sadio Mane is out on the left wing and Messi takes up his place on the right wing.

And leading the frontline is Mbappe, who takes up the striker's position at the expense of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Juventus superstar, 34, has been in every Ultimate Team since its introduction in FIFA 10 and boasted over a 90 rating in each FIFA title.

But this is the first Team of the Year that Ronaldo has been absent from in Ultimate Team history.

Messi, who broke his Ballon d'Or deadlock with Ronaldo, has maintained his 100 per cent place in all of FIFA's Team of the Years.

EA Sports has confirmed that Team of the Year players will be coming to FUT packs for a limited time only.

However, the FIFA publisher has also said that fans can vote for a 12th player to join this list in-game.
