In news we didn't expect to see breaking today, the Turkish media are reporting that David Silva has agreed terms on a move to Fenerbahce.

With the Turkish transfer window not closing until tomorrow, Super Lig clubs are still allowed to conduct business and Fener are believed to have reached out to the Eastlands club regarding a deal for their Spanish playmaker.

Silva has begun the new season minus his trademark barnet but still in possession of his trademark imperious form, laying on two assists in the opening three games.

The former Valencia man's involvement in Pep Guardiola's plans so far would suggest that City have no desire to part with the 31-year-old midfielder, yet Turkish outlet Hurriyet.

Hurriyet are reporting that Silva has already agreed terms and a fee has already been negotiated with City for Silva, although Fenerbahce are yet to make a statement regarding any potential deal.

The news has come completely out of left field and, with Silva such an integral part of Guardiola's squad, it's almost unthinkable that the City manager would allow the Spanish playmaker to leave, even with the plethora of attacking options currently at his disposal, with Kevin de Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane all available to the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach.

Silva has so far spent seven years at City, arriving from Valencia in 2010. Since then, the 31-year-old has helped the Eastlands club to two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and two League Cups. He has made a total of 309 appearances, scoring 51 goals along the way while establishing himself as one of the world's finest playmakers.

We're probably going to take this news with a pinch of salt.
