Now then Liverpool, just how strong is your resolve when it comes to keeping Philippe Coutinho? Barcelona have put in a new bid for the Brazilian and it's a massive one!

The line at Anfield hasn't changed all summer. According to the powers that be at Liverpool, be it manager Jurgen Klopp or the American owners, there is no chance in hell that they're selling Philippe Coutinho.

Barcelona have been linked with a move for the former Inter midfielder all summer but once Neymar left them for £198 million to join PSG they have been desperate to replace their star with Liverpool's best player.

Coutinho got to the point last week where he handed in a transfer request but still the Reds said they were not going to let him go, despite a £90 million bid from the Catalans.

Now though, according to the Daily Mail, Barca have returned with a new bid of £114 million to try and pry their main transfer target from Merseyside. But according to reports the Premier League club have already rejected the bid.

The Mail's report suggests that the La Liga side might be willing to go up another €5 million euros in order to get their hands on Ernesto Valverde's pick to replace Neymar in the squad.

However with Klopp's side standing strong on their stance on the 25 year old it might still not be enough to sign him.

So far this season Coutinho has not played for Liverpool as he is out with a back injury and he will miss this weekend's match too.

It could be a long last two weeks of the transfer window for Barcelona, Liverpool and Coutinho as they all try to get what they want out of the window, it won't leave the Reds with long to replace him.
