Manchester United's defence has been one of the many problems that José Mourinho has had to face this season.
After a summer transfer window that saw United fail to land his top targets and a late move for Atlético Madrid's Diego Godín fall apart, fans can now understand why the Special One was so keen to strengthen his back-four options.
The Red Devils have conceded 14 times in the Premier League this season alone, with a sensational late win against Newcastle United last week proving to be an invaluable moment for the former Chelsea manager.

Mourinho is not giving up his hopes for a new defender, though.
According to Marca (via Sport Witness), United have made a big move for Atlético's Lucas Hernández.
In fact, the club has made a "dizzying offer" for the 22-year-old French defender, who could see his wages double with a transfer to Old Trafford.
If Mourinho is eager to land the World Cup-winning star, who can operate as a full-back or centre-back, then United might need to match his reported €80m release clause.
Hernández made his debut for Madrid in 2014 and has made over 50 appearances for the club.
According to 101 Great Goals, he is under contract with Atlético until 2024.
