As World Cup fever hits the UK and millions of fans enjoy a sense of misplaced optimism, fast-food places are really upping their game.

Firstly, we had the wonderful news about the McDelivery shareboxes released to coincide with the competition.

And now, Nandos have stepped up offering a cheeky pre-order service for footballs who want to enjoy the game with their PERi-PERi fix.

Selected restaurants across the UK are offering chicken-lovers the option to pre-order from the entire menu and then have it conveniently delivered to their door; so all you need to do is make sure there's enough beers in the fridge. What a time to be alive.

There's good news even if your local Nando's isn't delivering food. From today, Nando's will allow customers to order their food from any restaurant - up to a day prior - to pick up themselves.

Nando's really is spoiling us lately, as well as this new slick pre-order option, the chicken shop recently announced it would be introducing halloumi sticks to its already pretty perfect menu.

The cheese-based treats were added to the menu following a short trial and are absolutely perfect alongside the chicken, or on their own by the handful - I'm not here to judge you guys.

Nando's said: "The famous squeaky cheese has long been the perfect compliment to Nando's fiery brand of Southern African PERi-PERi chicken, and is now rewarded with its very own starter.

"Consisting of five chunky sticks of halloumi, grilled until golden brown, and served with a pot of Nando's sticky, sweet chilli jam for dipping; addiction levels will be high."

They've also brought a Fresco Burger for the summer featuring chicken (duh), smashed avocado, pickled cucumber and rocket served in a Portugese roll. How good would that be with a nice cold beer?
