Oscar Pistorius Takes Prosthetics Off During Court To Demonstrate His 'Vulnerability'
In order to demonstrate his 'vulnerability', Oscar Pistorius walked without his prosthetics today in court.
The unusual move was initiated by Pistorius' defence attorney, Barry Roux SC. The lawyer said: "He [Pistorius] is still portrayed as this person winning gold medals - a strong, ambitious person.
"It was not a man who won gold medals that should be judged but a man on stumps. A different picture would unfold."
Pistorius was not wearing his prosthetic limbs when he shot and killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, on Valentine's Day in 2013. He insists that he believed Reeva was an intruder, and that's why he shot her through the door of their bathroom.
The current hearing in South Africa was called after a court overturned their previous manslaughter verdict and instead convicted him of murder.
Today, the third day of his hearing, Reeva's cousin, Kim Martin, addressed the court. She insisted that all her family want now is the truth. She also added that she didn't believe Reeva loved Pistorius.

She said: "I know people said you got the truth, but we didn't. Oscar's version changed so many times.
"I was very close to Reeva... I asked her: 'Are you happy?' And she said to me, after shrugging her shoulders: 'We'll speak later'.
"I didn't see any love."
Pistorius now faces sentencing on 6 July this year.
