Former NBA Player and Champion, Lamar Odom posted an emotional message in respect to the death of his long-time friend and teammate, Kobe Bryant. Kobe tragically passed away yesterday at the age of 41.

Lamar Odom played with Kobe Bryant for the Los Angeles Lakers from 2004 to 2012. As one of the members of the infamous Shaquille O'Neal trade from the Lakers to the Miami Heat, Odom joined a Kobe-led team and went on to win two NBA Championships together in 2009 and 2010.

Odom infamously has struggled with Drugs since his retirement from the NBA. This includes an overdose in 2015 which left the former Laker comatose.

In his Instagram post, Odom went through everything.

How Kobe taught him to be a better player, how he became part of his family, how they used to train together and how he couldn't believe Kobe's work ethic.

He even said that he would've rather died if it meant Kobe would've lived:

"When I went through that Coma situation if God would have came to me and said we would take me and spare Kobe I would have rather that happened."
