UFC Star Nate Diaz Involved In Backstage Brawl At Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley Weigh-In

Nate Diaz's teammate Chris Avila squares off against Anthony Taylor on the undercard but there was already some action at the weigh-in.

UFC star Nate Diaz was involved in a backstage fracas at the Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley weigh-in last night.

Diaz was in attendance in Tampa to show support for his close friend and fellow Stockton native Chris Avila, who is taking on Anthony Taylor on the undercard.

The two have already squared off against one another at Bellator 238 last year, with Taylor emerging victorious via majority decision.

There's clear animosity between the pair and that spilled over last night, with members of both teams getting into it.

Diaz and fellow UFC fighter Nick Maximov were involved, while Bellator featherweight champion A.J Mckee was on the other side backing his boy Taylor.

There was pushing and shoving all over the place as security tried to diffuse the situation. In footage doing the rounds, it doesn't appear as though any punches were thrown in the altercation but objects such as bottles definitely were.

"They tried to run up and they got themselves punked," Maximovic told TMZ Sports in a video.

"Again. Anthony Taylor said it was ‘on sight,’ and then he had his f—king tail between his legs.”

Taylor who has claimed Diaz once tried to jump him at a Bellator event in the past, branded him "a little puppy".

"It was pretty sticky out there but we had the mop and cleaned it up," he told The Schmo.

"You know, Nate's always looking for something to start but he couldn't swallow what he could chew. My team was there, his team was there and he backed out like a little puppy.

Meanwhile, an angry McKee told the 36-year-old to "sign on the dotted line" as he called him out for a fight.

Diaz has beef with every fighter under the sun though, and has been mentioning Conor McGregor, Jorge Masvidal and Dustin Poirier in recent tweets.

Having last fought against Leon Edwards in June, he wants to be back in the Octagon next month.
